Album Review: Jaaneman

Music: Anu Malik

CAST:       Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta

1. Hum Ko Maloom Hai: Sung by Sonu Nigam, Sadhna Sargam
Sonu-Sadhna or Sonu-Shreya which is better pair in singing.
Salman Khan:
Muhabbaton mein jeene wale khushnaseeb hain
Muhabbaton mein marne wale bhi  Ajeeb hain
Ajeeb hai hamari dasstaan
Faslon mein rehne wale hain lekin kareeb hain
Sonu and Sadhna:
Hamko maloom hai  ishq masoom hai, dil se ho jaati hain galatiyan
Sabr se ishq mehroom hai
Sonu-Sadhna or Sonu-Shreya which is better pair in singing.
Fantasticmusic and Sonu is great as usual. Sonu at times reminds me ofthe goldenoldies of Rafi's romantic songs. But somehow the song all of a sudden, unexpectedly goes from a low tone ot very high tone at some places. Butif you listen to the lyrics attentively, it sounds poetic. Title voiceof this song is by Sallu Bhai, I mean Salman Khan ( I still like andremember his movie Maine Pyaar Kiya). Quite a musical song. Atplaces it seems it is a sad song, at times it appears revengeful, atother moments it appaers romantic...Baghi,Farar, Naraaz. etc words inthe song. The line "Dil se h ojaati hain galatiyan" is sung veryfantastically.

Voice: Sonu: 9/10
Voice: Sadhna: 8/10

2. Ajnabi Shehar: Sung by Sonu Nigam
Ajnabi Shehar hai, Ajnabi Shaam hai, Zindagi Ajnabi
Ajeeb hai ye zindagi, ye zindagi ajeeb hai
ye milti hai bichadti hai, bichad ke fir ye milti hai

Agood use of Guitar at the start and in between, Flute in between. Aromantic song with a mix of mysiticism and heart break feeling. Seemssomebody lost somebody in life and is trying to console himself. Sonuagain reminds of Rafi's Romantic songs. Long stretching words by Sonuin the song.

Voice: 9/10

3. Udh Jaana: Sung by Kunal Ganjawala, Adnan Sami, Sunidhi Chauhan, Pearl
Rang jama ke, taal baja ke, jaal bicha ke, o jaana, o jaana, udh jaana

Ganjawalaand Adnan have given life to this song by their good voices.Adnan asusual is fantastic.Depending on situation, seems to be totally fitsong, can guess only, since movie is not yet released. Music is tooloud at some places. Otherwise fast drum beats sound good with Adnan.Ithas jugalbandi in STYLE, jugalbandi of Guitar and Flute. Put your handstogether - do you want more...Sing with me, Wake up, Bingo...

Voice: Adnan: 8.5/10
Voice: Kunal: 7/10
Voice: Sunidhi: 6/10

4. Kubool Kar Le: Sung by Udit Narayan, Rahul Vaidya, Suzanne D Mello, Amit Sana, Prajkta Shukre, Monali Thakurmain us se ishq karta tha, vo mere saath padti thi, vo mujhse roothi rehti thi
na koi gaur karti thi, mujhe ignore karti thi

Good fast, mast number. Music irritating at times when drum beats aretoo loud... Udit bhai has got a chance after a long time. He does nothave much of variations, mostly has a typical style. This song also hasa good use of Guitar. This is a sharaarat bhara ikrar-takrar wala song.

Lyrics: 7/10
Music: 5.5/10
Voices: 6/10

5. Jaane Ke Jaane Na (Club Mix DJ Shane): Sung by Sonu Nigam, Sukhvinder Singh, Krishnajaane ke jaane na, maane ke maane na, man jaane jaane man, piya  man jaane na

Good drum beats. Sukhvinder sahab after a long time. Was being missed. Sonu-Sukhinder deliver good performance.

6. Sau Dard (Groove Mix DJ Shane): Sung by Sonu Nigam, Suzzane D Mello
Sonu: Sau dard hain Sau Rahtein, sun mera Dllnasheen, ek tu hi nahin

This song also starts with hard beats of Drums and the music of "Hum Ko Maloom Hai" in the begining for a while and then the song starts with its own music.

Lyrics:5.5/10
Music:5/10
Voice: Sonu: 6/10
Voice: Suzzane:

7. Udh Jaana (Club Mix DJ Shane) Sung by Kunal Ganjawala, Adnan Sami, Sunidhi Chauhan, Earl
There is a simple principle in music life and that is - "A remix is aremix is a remix". Original was better as most of the times. Remix isfaster and noisy. A Party, dance number. There is a similar Flute,Drums and Guitar Jugalbandi in STYLE.

Lyrics: 6/10
Music: 5.5/10
Voice: Adnan: 8.5/10
Voice: Kunal: 7/10
Voice: Sunidhi: 6/10
8. Hum Ko Maloom Hai (II): Sung by Sonu Nigam, Sadhna SargamSame start by Salman Khan. Song sung by Sonu and Sadhna. Somewhat slower version in the begining. I could not make out much difference between Hum Ko Maloom Hai and Hum Ko Maloom Hai (II) till the middle of song. But then I found lot of english words in the song - like future, phone karta raha,

Overall Ratings:
Music: 6/10
Lyrics: 6.5/10
Voices: 7/10

One thing I feel: What so ever best Anu Malik delivers, it never appears ORIGINAL. I don't know WHY
