Movie Review: Aashiqui 2: Interesting Story With Superb Music And Lyrics

The story is about Bollywood. It is about rise and fall of a star singer and how the things change around this star with his changing scenario. It is about obsession and depression. Released on 26 April 2013 under the banner of T-Series and Vishesh Films, Aashiqui 2 is directed by Mohit Suri on the story written by Shagufta Rafique. Lead roles have been played by Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Aditya is Vidya Balan's brother-in-law and Shraddha is daughter of well known actor Shakti Kapoor. So basically both are well conversant with Bollywood.

Both Aditya Roy Kapoor (Rahul Jaykar, RJ) and Shraddha Kapoor (Aarohi Keshav Shirke) have performed excellent roles in Aashiqui 2 with full justification to the roles assigned to them. RJ has been a top singer who is passing through troubled waters as far as his career is concerned. He has given ample business and hits to the industry but somehow he could not sustain to his stardom and get delved into habit of heavy drinking. He goes into a kind of frustration and depression mode with no optimism about his career. While returning from one of his not too successful stage show, he meets Aarohi singing in a bar to earn her living. Rahul finds her voice flawless and hence introduces her to bollywood industry.

Aarohi becomes a top star singer in no time and then story moves to a sad end....

Most of the songs of this movie are a big hit like:
1. Sun raha hai na tu - sung by Ankit Tiwari
2. Sun raha hai na tu - sung by Shreya Ghoshal
3. Tum hi ho - sung by Arijit Singh
